De Kersentuin is a unique neighborhood in Utrecht/Leidsche Rijn. It was created out of a vision about how people can live together, with special attention for one another and for nature.
De Kersentuin proves that, during the building and development of (new) neighborhoods, a lot can be left to the initiative of (future) residents. It shows that this can result in a very live-able neighborhood.
De Kersentuin stimulates people to take matters into their own hands. A neighborhood can be shaped by its residents more than most people think. De Kersentuin is proof of that in almost every respect.
